Seed / Germination
Use this mode when starting seeds inside the ECPonics SE.
Phase 1 — Hydrate & Seal
Day 0–7- Substrate should be evenly moist; slight pooling at the bottom is okay.
- Keep the container fully closed.
- Place in bright indirect light or gentle bottom warmth.
- Monitor conditions daily.
Phase 2 — Germination Window
Variable- Do not disturb seeds.
- Maintain steady temperature.
- Condensation inside is expected and beneficial.
- Opening too early can dry seeds and interrupt germination.
Optional: briefly open for 10–20 minutes only if needed.
Phase 3 — Post-Sprout Stability
Condition Based- Wait for seed leaves and first true growth.
- Look for firm stems and consistent progress.

Full Growth
Use this mode when growing longer-term inside ECPonics GE instead of using it only for starting or transition.
Phase 1 — Fill & Set
Initial Setup- Add clean water to the reservoir area as intended for your GE setup.
- Keep the root zone supported while avoiding excessive saturation above the lower area.
- Place in bright light appropriate for the plant.
- Start with a healthy plant that is already rooted or ready to continue growing.
Phase 2 — Active Growth
Ongoing- Monitor water level routinely and refill before the reservoir runs fully dry.
- Check roots, foliage, and moisture balance regularly.
- Keep in stable temperatures and avoid harsh direct sun unless the plant is suited for it.
Phase 3 — Maintenance
As Needed- Refresh water as needed to keep the system clean.
- Trim damaged growth and remove any declining material promptly.
- Move up only when the plant outgrows the capsule or needs a larger long-term setup.
Full Growth
Use this mode when growing inside ECPonics LE with its dedicated light-based grow workflow.
Phase 1 — Fill, Set & Light
Initial Setup- Set the plant and water level correctly for the LE growing setup.
- Turn on the grow light according to your intended schedule.
- Keep the capsule in a stable area away from excess heat buildup.
- Begin with a healthy rooted plant or stable young plant.
Phase 2 — Active Growth Under Light
Ongoing- Monitor water level routinely and refill as needed.
- Watch leaf color, stretch, and overall vigor to judge whether light exposure is appropriate.
- Keep temperature and airflow balanced so the capsule does not overheat.
Phase 3 — Maintenance & Adjustment
As Needed- Adjust the light routine if the plant shows stress or excessive stretching.
- Refresh water and clean components as needed.
- Move up only when the plant outgrows the capsule or needs a larger long-term setup.
